These terms cover the TrueSlug plugin and this website. Plain English on purpose — if anything is unclear, ask: legal@trueslug.com.

The plugin license

• The free version of TrueSlug is licensed GPL v2 or later, like WordPress itself.
• A Pro or Agency license grants you, the buyer, the right to use TrueSlug Pro on the number of sites your plan allows, for as long as your license is active.
• A Founding lifetime license grants use on one site forever, including all future updates.
• Don't redistribute or resell the Pro code. (The GPL governs the code itself; this governs our support, updates and license.)

Price promise

Your renewal price is the price you joined at — it never increases for active, continuous licenses. If your license lapses, you may re-subscribe at the then-current price. We may change prices for new customers at any time; existing active licenses keep their original renewal price.

Refunds

14-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. Request a refund within 14 days of purchase through your Freemius account or by emailing billing@trueslug.com, and it's processed. Refunds end the license and updates for that purchase.

Acceptable use

• Don't use TrueSlug to shorten links to malware, phishing, or anything illegal in your or our jurisdiction.
• Don't use it to disguise deceptive links — cloaking is for clean, honest affiliate links.
• We may terminate licenses used for abuse, with a pro-rata refund of the unused term.

Updates and compatibility

We ship updates regularly and keep TrueSlug compatible with current WordPress and PHP versions. Updates are included for the duration of an active license (and forever for Founding lifetime).

No warranty; liability

The plugin is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, except as required by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages or lost profits.

Affiliate disclosure

TrueSlug runs an affiliate program. If a site owner's affiliate link earned a commission on a product you bought through their link, that relationship is between that site owner and the merchant — not with us.
